Role overview Senior iOS engineer role focused on a high-growth text-to-speech reading application that converts written content such as PDFs, books, articles, and documents into spoken audio. The app ranks among the top productivity titles and has recently been recognized for inclusive design, and the engineer will help scale the codebase and user base while shaping new product direction in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities - Lead key engineering and product decisions that shape the iOS experience - Ship production code for the iOS application on a regular cadence - Collaborate within a dedicated product team, contributing to roadmap discussions - Maintain and enhance a complex, large-scale mobile architecture - Partner with designers and internal stakeholders to evolve the product thoughtfully
Requirements - Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI - Hands-on experience with multithreading programming on iOS - Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Fastlane - Solid grasp of Git workflows and branching strategies - Track record of engineering consumer products from inception through meaningful traction - Comfort working in a fast-moving, distributed team with strong product instincts
Nice to have - Experience scaling iOS apps to very large user bases - Background applying SOLID principles consistently across a codebase - Prior work on accessibility-focused or inclusive products
