About this role
Role overview Senior iOS engineer position supporting a popular text-to-speech reading app that turns PDFs, articles, books, and other written material into audio. The role is part of a fully remote organization building one of the top productivity applications on the App Store, and the engineer will play a key role in scaling the platform and guiding product direction for a rapidly expanding user base.
Responsibilities - Drive major engineering and product decisions for the iOS application - Deliver production-quality Swift code on a consistent shipping cadence - Work within a dedicated product team to align priorities and execution - Participate in product discussions that inform the roadmap - Maintain and extend a sophisticated, large-scale mobile architecture
Requirements - Expert-level proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI - Practical experience with multithreading and concurrency on iOS - Familiarity with CI/CD infrastructure and Fastlane release tooling - Strong command of Git and modern branching strategies - Demonstrated success taking consumer products from idea to meaningful adoption - Ability to move quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and operate effectively in a remote, high-growth setting
Nice to have - Prior experience scaling mobile apps to millions of users - Deep familiarity with SOLID design principles - Background contributing to accessibility or inclusivity-focused software
