A senior iOS engineer is needed to help scale and evolve a widely used text-to-speech reading application that turns written content into audio for tens of millions of people worldwide. The work sits at the intersection of audio technology and artificial intelligence, supporting learners with diverse reading needs as well as professionals who rely on hands-free access to information. Responsibilities
- Lead key engineering and product decisions within the iOS codebase - Ship production code regularly as part of a dedicated mobile product team - Participate in product discussions and help shape the application roadmap - Maintain and enhance the existing complex iOS application architecture - Collaborate cross-functionally with designers and internal stakeholders to deliver an inclusive, high-quality user experience
Requirements
- Proven experience engineering products that scaled to a large user base - Track record of taking products from inception through meaningful traction and owning core engineering work - Strong product thinking paired with deep customer obsession around user experience - Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI - Experience with multithreading programming and CI/CD infrastructure - Familiarity with Fastlane, Git workflows, and writing code that follows SOLID principles
