Software Engineer, AI Data - Zagreb, Croatia

Role overview Build the data systems that support AI model training and new audio-focused products. The work combines backend engineering, data infrastructure, and collaboration with research teams to create high-quality datasets at very large scale while managing processing cost and efficiency.

Responsibilities - Find audio data sources and develop dependable pipelines to bring that material into training datasets. - Build and refine large-scale processing systems, improving data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency. - Work with AI researchers to strengthen datasets and support the development of new models. - Lead projects from identifying a problem through implementation and ongoing improvement.

Requirements - At least five years of professional software engineering experience and strong backend fundamentals. - Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments. - Experience building and operating production systems; data pipelines or large-scale processing experience is especially relevant. - A computer science or related degree, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently through ambiguity.

Nice to have - Experience with web crawling, data acquisition, or distributed processing. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code, particularly GCP and Terraform. - Knowledge of machine-learning datasets, data quality, or audio processing.
