Software Engineer, AI Data - Paris, France

Role overview Build and operate data pipelines that supply audio datasets for AI model training and emerging products. The work combines backend engineering, large-scale data processing, and close collaboration with AI researchers, with a focus on making datasets reliable and efficient to produce.

Responsibilities - Find audio data sources and create dependable pipelines to bring that data into training datasets. - Develop and improve large-scale processing systems, balancing data quality, throughput, and cost. - Work with AI researchers to strengthen datasets and support new model development. - Lead engineering work from identifying a problem through implementation and ongoing improvement.

Requirements - Degree in computer science or a related area, or equivalent practical experience. - At least five years of professional software engineering experience and strong backend fundamentals. - Proficiency with Python and Bash in Linux environments. - Experience building and operating production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale processing systems. - Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently amid ambiguity.

Nice to have - Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data processing. - Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code experience, especially GCP and Terraform. - Familiarity with machine learning datasets, dataset quality, or audio processing.
