Role overview Build and operate data pipelines that supply audio datasets for AI model training and product development. The work spans finding new data sources, handling large-scale processing, and improving the quality and efficiency of the data used by research teams.

Responsibilities - Identify audio data sources and create dependable pipelines to ingest them into training datasets. - Develop and improve large-scale processing systems, balancing data quality, throughput, and cost. - Work with AI researchers to refine datasets and support new model development. - Own engineering work from exploring a problem through implementation and ongoing improvement.

Requirements - Degree in computer science or a related area, or equivalent practical experience. - At least five years of professional software engineering experience and strong backend fundamentals. - Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments. - Experience building and operating production systems; data pipelines or large-scale processing experience is especially relevant. - Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently through ambiguity.

Nice to have - Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed processing. - Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly with GCP and Terraform. - Familiarity with machine-learning datasets, data quality, or audio processing.
