AI Engineer

Role overview Build AI capabilities into products and business operations, from early discovery through production. The work spans assistants, search, content tools, and workflow automation, with a focus on usefulness, measurable performance, data protection, and operating cost.

Responsibilities - Work with clients to identify processes where AI can save time or enable a service, and assess when it is not a good fit. - Develop language model assistants and retrieval systems grounded in client data. - Connect AI features to CRM, e-commerce, customer support, and internal tools. - Evaluate changes for accuracy, speed, and cost. - Apply access controls, logging, and redaction, and clarify how data is handled. - Move prototypes into production with monitoring, fallback behavior, and documentation.

Requirements - Evidence of AI features shipped to real users, with performance results you can discuss. - Strong Python or TypeScript skills and experience using major model provider APIs. - Practical knowledge of retrieval, embeddings, tool use, structured outputs, and prompt design. - A habit of testing and measuring system behavior. - Understanding of GDPR and the EU AI Act as they apply to project work. - Ability to explain system capabilities and limitations to non-technical decision-makers.
