A Senior Software Engineer position on the Core Experiences Team, which owns the cross-platform SDKs and shared services that power the product across mobile and desktop. The role sits at the intersection of product and infrastructure, focused on building clear APIs, simple systems, and reliable foundations that directly shape the user experience. Responsibilities
- Partner with product teams to scope initiatives, trim scope to gather faster user feedback, and weigh integration and UX trade-offs before delivering through the shared cross-platform SDK - Improve performance and intelligence of existing features by refining abstractions and upgrading parsing and loading algorithms - Build and ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs primarily in Kotlin - Contribute to shared platform foundations so multiple teams can move quickly without duplicating work - Translate product needs into clean, well-designed APIs that other engineers can adopt with confidence
Requirements
- Strong systems-thinking mindset, with a belief that simplicity and end-to-end design are the path to fast, reliable products - Ability to generate ideas quickly, decide what can ship now versus what needs more time, and stay focused in a fast-moving environment - Comfort working remotely with autonomy, knowing when to engage with teammates and when to go heads-down - Track record of collaborating constructively with designers, product managers, and marketers who hold strong opinions - Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java background is acceptable but the role centers on KMP
