Role overview A leading mobile game studio is hiring a Principal Data Analyst to join its Analytics team in Barcelona. This senior role partners directly with game teams to shape product strategy, drive measurable improvements to player engagement, and influence monetization decisions. The position combines deep quantitative work with cross-functional leadership, helping raise analytical standards across the organization.

Responsibilities - Contribute to data-driven strategies for flagship titles, shaping roadmaps, feature design, and monetization approaches. - Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to analyze player behavior, in-game economy trends, and overall product performance. - Design and run A/B experiments, and build predictive models for churn, lifetime value, and player segmentation. - Mentor other analysts and communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders through dashboards and storytelling. - Collaborate on improving internal data tools, pipelines, and experimentation practices across the company.

Requirements - Substantial experience in analytics or data science, ideally within gaming, mobile apps, or other digital products. - Strong business sense and product intuition, with the ability to prioritize high-impact questions. - Solid experience with A/B testing, causal inference, and experimental design; applied statistics background. - Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data exploration and analysis. - Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex data into actionable insights. - Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Bayesian methods. - Prior experience mentoring or leading analysts.
