Python Developer

Role overview This position is for a Python Developer with strong automation experience who will build, maintain, and enhance enterprise automation solutions in support of government programs. The work combines hands-on Python development with CI/CD tooling, code quality, and Agile delivery. Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance and have resided in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years.

Responsibilities - Develop, debug, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and applications, refactoring existing scripts to match evolving enterprise standards. - Design and build scalable, flexible, and maintainable automation frameworks using Python. - Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. - Use GitHub and JIRA to manage work, track issues, and collaborate with team members, while leveraging GitHub and Jenkins for source control and pipelines. - Improve test coverage, support release velocity, and maintain production stability through automation and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements - 4 to 6 years of overall professional experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Python development. - Strong expertise with GitHub and Jenkins, plus experience using JIRA and Confluence. - Experience working in an Agile development environment, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have - Experience supporting federal government projects, preferably CMS programs. - Exposure to or familiarity with mainframe systems.
