A mid-level full stack developer position supporting public-sector digital programs, building serverless web applications and microservices for government clients. Responsibilities
- Participate in sprint planning sessions, estimating story points and committing to planned user stories - Design, build, test, and deploy responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript alongside Java-based microservices - Develop solutions on AWS native and serverless technologies, including containers and managed services - Conduct and participate in code reviews, recommending tools, technologies, and best practices that improve stability - Translate business and architectural requirements into technical specifications and diagrams - Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments while maintaining operational and system documentation - Collaborate with architects, product managers, UX designers, system administrators, and analysts to prototype new approaches
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional application development experience - 3-5 years building code on AWS using serverless architecture, native services, and containers - 3-5 years supporting applications hosted on AWS - Proficiency in Java plus front-end frameworks such as Angular, TypeScript, or React - Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and PHP, along with DynamoDB and Aurora DB - Working knowledge of Git, Agile and Scrum methodologies, and tools like Jira and Confluence - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with prior work on large multi-team projects

- Relevant professional certifications - Familiarity with Drupal, ORM, and SQL technologies in a front-end context - Experience with F5 and NGINX in production environments - Use of Generative AI or AI-assisted development tools for testing, debugging, and documentation - Integration of LLM capabilities such as AI-powered search, conversational interfaces, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation
