DevSecOps Engineer

Role overview A federal healthcare program is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to build and secure the AWS-based cloud environment that powers large-scale provider data operations. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and data delivery, embedding compliance and automation throughout the software lifecycle while supporting Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent) across dev, test, staging, and production environments. - Build and operate CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, security scanning, release, and deployment for applications, data, and analytics workloads. - Implement security controls aligned with FISMA, NIST, and federal healthcare program requirements, including vulnerability scanning, ATO support, and POA&M remediation. - Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure, data pipelines, APIs, and batch jobs, and produce dashboards and operational reports. - Support disaster recovery, backup, capacity planning, and business continuity objectives. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to documentation, runbooks, and process improvement.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. - 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, system administration, DevOps, or DevSecOps, including 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines. - Hands-on experience with AWS, source code management platforms, and IaC tooling. - Background supporting secure systems in federal or highly regulated environments and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues. - Public Trust clearance eligibility and US residency for 3 of the last 5 years.

Nice to have - Experience with CMS or HHS programs, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and ATO activities. - Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Glue, and Athena. - SAFe Agile, Python-based automation, and an AWS or Agile certification.
