Role overview A mid-level DevOps Engineer position supporting federal government programs through reliable, automated software delivery. The role centers on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment tooling that enable development teams to ship software quickly and safely to production environments.
Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support application delivery and deployment automation - Develop and maintain automated build, deployment, and release processes across Linux environments - Create and update deployment, provisioning, and infrastructure automation scripts - Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration management solutions for AWS-based cloud infrastructure - Troubleshoot and resolve problems within CI/CD pipelines and deployment environments - Collaborate with developers, infrastructure, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and establish deployment best practices
Requirements - 5+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, systems engineering, or related technical roles - Hands-on experience administering and supporting Linux environments - Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development - Proficiency with Groovy scripting and automation development - Experience with Red Hat Ansible or comparable configuration management tools - Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance - U.S. residency for 3 of the past 5 years
Nice to have - Background supporting CMS, federal government, or healthcare systems - Experience with AWS cloud architecture and cloud-native deployments - Familiarity with Terraform and Packer for infrastructure as code - Experience with Gradle build automation - Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Scala - Exposure to DevSecOps practices and automated testing - Middleware administration and application platform support experience
