Role overview
Help a project team build and operate its DevOps and DevSecOps practices, supporting applications and infrastructure in AWS. The work spans the delivery toolchain—from source control and automated builds to deployment, monitoring, logging, provisioning, and security—and includes technical leadership and escalation support for other engineers.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with scrum team members to develop and put DevOps practices into use across the project. - Install, configure, and maintain tools for source control, continuous integration and deployment, monitoring, databases, repositories, provisioning, releases, logging, builds, testing, containers, and security. - Lead DevOps engineers, act as an escalation point, and resolve technical issues efficiently. - Implement CI/CD tooling and maintain infrastructure automation, including deployment of Red Hat operating system patches through AWS automation. - Support AWS hosted applications and services, including compute, networking, load balancing, storage, and file systems. - Coordinate with technical teams and customers, communicate status clearly, and turn requirements into practical solutions.
Requirements - Six to eight years of experience with DevOps tools and practices. - Experience building and deploying infrastructure in AWS, including running workloads on Kubernetes in EKS. - Extensive experience building CI/CD deployment pipelines and working with Terraform for infrastructure as code. - Linux system administration experience. - Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, Elastic Load Balancing, S3, and Elastic File System. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, and to have lived in the United States for at least three of the past five years. - Strong communication, collaboration, judgment, and independent problem-solving skills. - Bachelor’s degree.

Experience supporting Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services work, along with AWS or DevOps certifications.
