Role overview
Build and operate the infrastructure and internal tools that help engineering teams deliver and run services reliably, securely, and at scale. The work spans cloud infrastructure, developer workflows, platform standards, and operational reliability, with a focus on enabling teams to move quickly and safely.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and improve scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. - Automate recurring operational work and build self-service workflows for common engineering tasks. - Establish reusable patterns for building, deploying, and operating services. - Improve system reliability and observability, take part in incident response, and address root causes. - Work with engineers across teams to solve infrastructure challenges and develop reusable platform capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering. - Production experience managing infrastructure as code with tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi. - Working knowledge of AWS, distributed systems, and components such as queues, workers, databases, caches, networks, and load balancers. - Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry. - Ability to work across infrastructure and delivery pipelines, take ownership, and communicate trade-offs clearly. - Strong spoken and written English, with reliable overlap with Americas working hours.
Nice to have
- Experience operating high-throughput systems or building internal platforms, developer tools, or self-service infrastructure. - Background with developer tools, public APIs, or email infrastructure. - Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, or Postgres.
