About this role

Role overview Join a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team as an Incident Response Analyst supporting the Critical Incident Response Unit. The role leads the investigative stream of active cyber incidents, performing advanced forensic, analytical, and containment tasks across diverse customer environments with moderate autonomy. It serves as a bridge between junior responders and senior analysts, validating findings, shaping investigative direction, and preparing technical context for customer communication.

Responsibilities - Investigate, contain, and respond to cyber incidents using established defensive technologies - Analyze incidents for malware, ransomware, and other common attack patterns - Maintain accurate and detailed documentation throughout each investigation - Recognize and codify attacker tools, tactics, and procedures for use in current and future investigations - Communicate clearly and concisely with MDR customers during live incidents - Partner with internal detection engineering and threat hunting teams to expand and improve detection logic - Provide response and remediation guidance to MDR operations and customer-facing teams - Produce thorough post-incident technical reports for MDR customers and partners

Requirements - 3+ years conducting methodical cybersecurity investigations and threat analysis - Working knowledge of incident response toolsets, methodologies, and techniques - Experience creating technical documentation and incident reports - Ability to perform under high-pressure situations where response time matters - Network and endpoint (macOS, Linux, Windows) investigation experience - Strong communication skills for translating technical findings for varied audiences
