AI Engineer

Role overview Build and improve the runtime that coordinates AI agents, from breaking down tasks to handing work between agents and grounding answers in cited sources. You’ll define how safeguards and human approvals work, then use evaluation checks to catch regressions before they affect users.

Responsibilities - Develop agent planning, task handoffs, retrieval and source citation, and approval controls. - Review generated code and take responsibility for the quality of changes in the codebase. - Build and maintain evaluations that detect regressions in agent behavior. - Integrate tools and agent-to-agent communication, with fallback across local and hosted language models.

Requirements - The source describes work with Deno and TypeScript for the platform and Python for model-related components. - Familiarity with tool integration and communication between agents is relevant to the runtime work. - Ability to review AI-generated code and validate changes through evaluation is central to the role.

Benefits and work setup - Remote-first work with asynchronous collaboration and a weekly review. - Initial training on the team’s tools and equipment provided.
