Technical Product Owner (f/m/d) – Software & Full Stack Applications

Role overview This Technical Product Owner position sits at the intersection of Product, Business, and Engineering on a team that builds full-stack applications. The role translates business needs into clear, testable technical work and shares responsibility with engineers for what gets shipped. Work is remote by default, with on-site collaboration in Berlin or Cologne for larger features, architectural decisions, and hands-on sessions.

Responsibilities - Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria that developers can work with directly. - Build a working understanding of how UI, frontend, backend, APIs, and databases interact across full-stack applications. - Perform acceptance and smoke testing, work with APIs, and validate data to investigate whether features behave as intended. - Organize and orchestrate work within the team, keeping dependencies and open questions moving from idea to production. - Decide whether a feature is ready to ship and develop a strong sense for quality, performance, monitoring, and potential risks.

Requirements - Ability to break down complex business requirements into structured, testable work and define meaningful acceptance criteria. - Practical experience with APIs, testing, and data validation, plus an understanding of how frontend, backend, and databases work together. - Working knowledge of Git and modern development workflows, including branches, commits, pull requests, and merges. - Comfort challenging work that does not make sense and ensuring that done actually means done. - A portfolio, side project, or demo repo that shows shipping production-ready output is valued over a traditional CV.
