Junior Technical Product Owner (f/m/d) - Data

Role overview This position is a junior technical product owner embedded in a data services team that powers the wider platform. The role suits someone early in their product ownership career who is eager to learn, willing to take genuine responsibility, and motivated to turn complex data infrastructure into something reliably production-grade. The team operates remote by default and convenes on-site in Berlin for larger architectural decisions and collaborative sessions.

Responsibilities - Translate ambiguous business needs into precise, actionable technical specifications that engineers can implement directly - Partner closely with data engineers to refine requirements, design challenging test cases, and develop a working understanding of data-flow architecture - Own the full lifecycle of each feature, from initial concept through build, rollout, and ongoing operation - Use Git, Jenkins, and monitoring dashboards to maintain continuous visibility into system health, proactively identifying bottlenecks rather than waiting for reports - Drive the evolution of services from working prototypes into reliable, scalable production systems

Requirements - Some prior experience as a technical product owner or in a closely related role - Strong willingness to learn, take ownership, and ask the difficult questions others avoid - Comfort working with or quickly learning Git, Jenkins, and observability tooling - A demonstrable portfolio, side project, or demo repository showing production-ready, finished work — not just talk about code - Solid collaboration skills and the ability to work with engineering teams on technical detail

Nice to have - First-hand exposure to large-scale data pipelines or streaming architectures - Familiarity with incident response, monitoring, or on-call workflows - Curiosity about how AI can accelerate engineering without replacing judgement
