The position focuses on advanced analytics, experimentation, and causal inference to answer high-stakes questions about marketing performance, conversion, retention, and the levers that most directly drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end analytical investigations across acquisition, activation, conversion, monetization, and retention, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. - Analyze marketing channel performance, attribution, and incrementality across SEO, paid search, CRM, and emerging channels. - Partner with product and growth teams on A/B test design, evaluation, and causal inference or quasi-experimental methods where controlled experiments are not feasible. - Build, test, document, and maintain production-ready data models in SQL, Python, and modern transformation tools, owning the foundations behind your analyses. - Investigate unexpected shifts in traffic, conversion, and customer behavior, and develop analytical frameworks, predictive models, and data products that help teams act faster. - Work closely with product managers, growth specialists, engineers, and leadership to frame ambiguous business problems as structured analytical work.
Requirements - Strong applied data science or advanced analytics experience, ideally in a SaaS, product-led growth, or marketing-driven business, with a proven record of influencing real decisions. - Advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including experience with tools like dbt for building and maintaining reliable data models. - Strong Python skills for statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and practical data products. - Solid foundations in statistics, experimentation, and causal inference, including A/B test design and evaluation. - Experience in growth or marketing analytics, with fluency in acquisition channels, conversion funnels, attribution, and incrementality. - Strong product and commercial thinking, plus comfort owning the full analytical lifecycle from raw data to communication and recommendations.
Nice to have - Track record of building analytical frameworks or data products that have been adopted by business teams. - Experience operating independently in a small, high-impact data team.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first work across eligible European locations, with a hybrid option for team members based in Zurich. - 30 vacation days, plus sabbatical leave available after two years of tenure. - 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all new parents. - Annual personal development budget of up to CHF 2,000, plus dedicated time for training and courses. - Internal knowledge sharing, external coaching, and periodic hack days. - Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
