Job details
About this role
Role overview Use data science to shape customer growth across acquisition, onboarding, approval, activation, and retention for business and personal banking products. This is a strategic, product-facing role: you’ll frame important questions, quantify opportunities, guide investment decisions, and help teams understand which changes improve outcomes.
Responsibilities - Partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing leaders to identify high-impact questions and influence what gets built. - Own analysis of the growth funnel, developing metrics, driver trees, and narratives that reveal performance and opportunities. - Size potential improvements and inform roadmap and annual planning, making clear recommendations when evidence is incomplete. - Design and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experiments, communicating results and practical next steps. - Match analytical rigor to the decision, from fast directional analysis to more thorough evaluation where stakes require it. - Work with data and analytics engineering colleagues to create trusted, self-service growth measures and explain findings to audiences including executives.
Requirements - At least six years in data science, product analytics, or growth analytics, including three or more years partnering closely with product growth teams. - Evidence of strong product judgment and of analysis that has influenced product direction or what a team chose to build. - Deep experience with experiment design and analysis, funnel measurement, cohorts, and retention. - Fluency in SQL and a statistical programming language such as Python or R. - Experience with product analytics and business intelligence tools, and ability to communicate concise, evidence-backed recommendations to technical and non-technical partners. - Comfort working through ambiguity and constructively challenging senior stakeholders when the evidence supports a different view.
Nice to have - Experience in consumer or small-business fintech, mobile product analytics, or tools such as Snowflake and dbt.
Benefits and work setup - The listed total rewards package includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Target base salary ranges are USD $200,700–$250,900 for U.S. employees and CAD $189,700–$237,100 for Canadian employees; offers vary by experience, expertise, location, and internal equity.
