About this role
Role overview Own marketing measurement strategy for a digital lending business, helping leaders understand which channels cause borrower growth and how to allocate spend. The role combines experimentation, causal inference, attribution, and marketing mix modeling to turn evidence into budget decisions. You will partner with marketing, finance, product, and analytics teams, while mentoring analysts and improving recurring measurement workflows.
Responsibilities - Guide the design and interpretation of incrementality tests across marketing channels. - Apply causal inference methods when controlled experiments are impractical. - Build and maintain attribution methods that account for online and offline borrower interactions. - Translate measurement findings into spend allocation recommendations for marketing and finance. - Use marketing mix models alongside experiments and attribution, assessing how to interpret conflicting results. - Automate recurring reports and review or mentor analysts’ measurement work.
Requirements - Eight or more years in data science or a related quantitative role, with substantial marketing or growth measurement experience. - Hands-on experience designing and analyzing incrementality tests and applying causal inference beyond standard A/B testing. - Working knowledge of marketing mix modeling and multi-touch attribution, including their limitations. - Strong Python and SQL skills. - Evidence that measurement work has influenced marketing budget decisions. - Clear communication and sound judgment about the strength of evidence and when to act.
Nice to have - A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, or computer science. - Familiarity with AI tools that speed up analysis and reporting.
Benefits and work setup The role is remote and digital-first, with periodic in-person team sessions. The listed base salary range is $165,800–$210,000 CAD; pay varies by location, skills, experience, and education.
