Forward Deployed Product Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview A small, globally distributed team building an AI-driven agent platform for consumer brand customer experience is hiring a Forward Deployed Product Manager focused on agent deployment. The role is embedded directly with strategic accounts, owning deployment outcomes end to end while channeling field insights back into the platform. It pairs customer-facing execution with product ownership at startup speed.
Responsibilities - Own AI agent outcomes for strategic accounts end to end, including automation rates, resolution rates, and time-to-value. - Deploy agents, identify blockers, and build platform improvements that benefit the next deployment. - Partner with enterprise customer experience leaders to design and execute AI transformation roadmaps. - Convert deployment insights into platform capabilities, ensuring learnings from the field shape what gets built next. - Build and improve agent capabilities spanning support, shopping, reviews, voice, and social channels. - Design evaluation systems including QA suites, automated testing, and performance monitoring. - Run full launch cycles from internal testing through general availability, including customer enablement, demos, and joint selling with sales.
Requirements - At least five years in product management, solutions engineering, forward deployment, or technical account ownership. - AI-native mindset, with active use of modern coding assistants such as Claude and Cursor and a habit of building workflows before being asked. - Ability to scope webhooks, OAuth flows, and complex integrations independently, without an engineer acting as translator. - Comfort owning problems rather than tasks, working autonomously, and communicating with directness in a low-bureaucracy environment.
Nice to have - Direct prior experience with the customer experience problems clients are trying to solve. - Ability to diagnose whether deployment issues are technical, operational, or stakeholder-driven and prioritize accordingly. - Experience advising customer experience leaders on organizational design, process optimization, and transformation strategy. - A bias for shipping features, writing documentation, running demos, and measuring outcomes.
Benefits and work setup - Fully distributed, async-first team with low bureaucracy and high autonomy over how work gets done. - Competitive salary plus equity or stock grants, giving employees ownership in what they build. - A dedicated learning budget and AI-fluency by default, including premium accounts for tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity Pro, Cursor, and Lovable, plus a quarterly budget for new tools. - AI-assisted screening is used during hiring; all decisions are made by humans, and candidates may request a human-only review.
