A senior leadership role focused on steering large, complex software programs for international clients from initiation through full delivery. The position carries end-to-end accountability for outcomes, scope, budget, and stakeholder alignment across multi-stream engagements. Responsibilities
- Direct multi-year, multi-million-EUR software programs, owning delivery outcomes, scope, timelines, and budget end-to-end. - Define and run program governance, including decision-making structures, escalation paths, and reporting frameworks. - Coordinate multiple delivery streams and manage dependencies across internal teams and selected external partners. - Proactively surface program-level risks, shape mitigation strategies, and drive corrective action when delivery drifts. - Establish structured change management with full traceability between requirements, scope, budget, and contractual agreements. - Build trust-based relationships with clients, sponsors, and key internal stakeholders, while mentoring Delivery Managers and leading effective program teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale IT or software programs with full budget and delivery accountability. - Experience managing distributed, multinational teams and collaborating with external vendors or partners. - Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills in complex stakeholder environments. - High ownership and decisiveness, with the ability to operate independently and make informed trade-off decisions. - Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles (SDLC) and modern software engineering practices. - Fluency in spoken and written English, plus eligibility to work from within the European Union region.
Nice to have
- Practical knowledge of program and delivery frameworks such as PMP or SAFe; relevant certifications are welcome but not required.
