Role overview
This role leads the end-to-end delivery of complex AI projects within a managed services function, taking ownership of client engagements from initial scoping through to completion. The position blends hands-on programme management with strong client relationship ownership in a fast-moving environment where requirements evolve quickly. The successful candidate will translate ambiguous client needs into well-structured human data programmes while coordinating internal teams to keep delivery on track.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex AI project delivery from requirements gathering and shaping the delivery approach through to execution and successful completion - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and maintaining clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle - Translate evolving or ambiguous client requirements into defined project scopes, delivery plans, success criteria, and practical solutions - Coordinate across sales, operations, product, and engineering teams to align resources, resolve delivery challenges, and meet both client and internal goals - Monitor project execution closely to surface risks early, troubleshoot issues directly, and keep delivery on schedule - Track key delivery metrics including quality, timelines, budgets, and profitability, using project data to identify improvement opportunities - Contribute to refining delivery processes, tools, and ways of working as the client base grows
Requirements
- Three to six or more years of experience managing complex client projects or programmes, ideally within AI/ML, human data, data services, or a similarly technical setting - Working understanding of AI technologies and the AI/ML development lifecycle, including familiarity with data collection, annotation, evaluation, or validation workflows - Strong client-facing skills with a track record of building trusted relationships and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to convert complex or ambiguous requirements into clear, executable plans and successful outcomes - Hands-on approach to delivery and problem-solving, comfortable getting into operational detail, diagnosing issues, and driving solutions forward - Sound analytical and commercial judgement, with experience managing project KPIs, budgets, profitability, quality, and delivery performance - Proven ability to lead across teams, align diverse stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift
