Remote job
Senior AI Product Builder, Inventory Experience
Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a senior, AI-native product builder role focused on the inventory and product catalog experience for a fulfillment platform. The position owns the full build loop end-to-end, from discovery and spec writing through AI-augmented prototyping to shipping production-ready pull requests. It is designed for someone who treats product management as a hands-on builder discipline rather than a documentation-and-handoff function.
Responsibilities - Own the entire product loop, from AI-assisted discovery through specs, prototypes, production pull requests, and outcome measurement. - Own the product catalog and inventory data surface, including SKUs, variants, bundles, lots, and channel synchronization, and define the data contracts that merchants and partners build against. - Run customer discovery directly, using AI tools to synthesize support tickets, interviews, behavioral data, and competitive signals. - Demonstrate end-to-end functional and technical knowledge of owned products, including running demos for merchants and partners and tracking competitive positioning. - Use AI tooling to analyze product metrics, spot usage patterns and anomalies, and pre-define success metrics and kill thresholds during spec writing. - Maintain a roadmap ranked by impact multiplied by speed, using AI tools to merge competitive intelligence and customer insight into strategic input. - Evaluate whether proposed solutions fit the existing architecture without engineer translation, and route changes through a prototype-then-PR flow.
Requirements - 7+ years of relevant experience in product, fulfillment, logistics, transportation, or e-commerce technology. - Comfort operating in a fail-fast culture where being wrong quickly is treated as a feature. - Strong written communication, with the ability to author specs that engineers and AI tools can act on directly rather than meeting notes. - Working knowledge of the actual repository's data model, including the ability to read it and evaluate AI-generated scaffolding for correctness. - Demonstrated ability to ship outcomes rather than documents and to own accountability past the handoff.
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, v0, or similar. - Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or Python at a level sufficient to debug AI-generated code and understand engineer reviews. - Background in product information management, catalog or inventory systems, multichannel commerce integrations, or warehouse management receiving flows at scale. - Prior experience helping a product team transition from a traditional software development lifecycle to an AI-native operating model.
Benefits and work setup - Remote position available across a wide set of U.S. states, including AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, KY, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, and WI. - Base compensation range of $151,080 to $251,800, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan. - Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. - Paid parental and maternity leave, paid holidays, flexible time off, paid sick leave, and one wellness day per quarter. - 401(k) with company match and access to best-in-class AI and productivity tools for every full-time employee from day one.
