Senior Software Engineer, Security Platform

Role overview Build and operate the software platform that supports security engineering, from services that collect and route findings to the event infrastructure and automated checks in development pipelines. The work combines backend engineering, cloud operations, and security automation, with a focus on reliable tools that help teams address vulnerabilities without disrupting delivery.

Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, harden, and retire security services written primarily in Go and Python and running on AWS and Kubernetes. - Own the NATS-based event platform, including message contracts, consumers, delivery behavior, and observability. - Connect scanners and finding records with tickets and metrics so remediation progress can be tracked. - Operate and improve security checks for code, dependencies, secrets, containers, and infrastructure, including tuning and gradual rollout from advisory to enforcement. - Create automated workflows for code review, finding triage and verification, and remediation guidance; route validated issues to the teams responsible for fixing them. - Contribute to threat modeling and secure design reviews, and use AI-assisted engineering workflows with appropriate review discipline.

Requirements - At least six years of software engineering experience, with the ability to design, build, and operate production services. - Strong Go and Python development skills and experience with cloud-native systems, especially AWS and Kubernetes. - Experience building or operating event-driven services and understanding delivery, reliability, and observability concerns. - Practical knowledge of security scanning and pipeline controls, such as static analysis, dependency, secret, container, or infrastructure scanning. - Ability to turn security findings into actionable, automated remediation workflows and collaborate with engineering teams. - Experience with system-level threat modeling and secure design.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote position. - Gross monthly compensation range of $5,000–$9,500 USD, depending on experience.
