Senior Platform Engineer

Role overview Build and operate the cloud platform that helps product engineers deliver software safely and independently as the business expands. The work covers infrastructure, Kubernetes, delivery tooling, observability, security, and internal developer tools in a regulated fintech environment. The team also uses AI agents in everyday engineering work, with engineers accountable for technical decisions and production outcomes.

Responsibilities - Design, operate, and improve highly available distributed systems, including cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters. - Develop infrastructure-as-code and deployment workflows, and maintain shared CI/CD and GitOps tooling. - Improve platform reliability, observability, security, and compliance foundations, including access controls and secrets management. - Build internal tooling and self-service capabilities that help engineering teams work independently. - Use AI agents to explore problems, write and review code, and support platform operations while taking responsibility for shipped changes. - Participate in incident response and use post-incident learning to improve systems. - Work end to end: implement, deploy, observe, document, and refine platform capabilities.

Requirements - Experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems in production, including handling incidents and follow-up improvements. - Demonstrated experience scaling infrastructure for broad or global use. - Strong practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform in production. - A product mindset: prioritize work based on user and business needs and explain those decisions. - Hands-on experience using AI agents in day-to-day engineering. - Initiative to identify worthwhile problems and own solutions through production operation. - Professional written and spoken English.

Nice to have - Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments, including standards such as PCI DSS or DORA. - Familiarity with Terragrunt, Atlantis, or GitOps workflows. - Python, Go, or similar scripting and programming experience. - Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, or Tempo. - Background building internal developer platforms, self-service tools, or engineering-focused AI agents. - On-call experience and Spanish language skills.
