App QA Tester

Role overview This position focuses on hands-on mobile quality assurance for a privacy-first encrypted vault application built for personal photos and videos. The role centers on manually exercising the product on real devices to surface UX friction, regression bugs, and privacy-adjacent edge cases before features reach users. It is a security-and-reliability-minded QA role suited to someone who treats trustworthy releases as a product feature rather than an afterthought.

Responsibilities - Run structured test plans across iOS and Android builds covering the core vault, camera, backup, and authentication flows. - File reproducible bug reports with screen recordings, logs, and severity ratings in the team's issue tracker. - Perform exploratory testing on new features, localized builds, and operating system version betas. - Verify staged fixes before sign-off for production release. - Maintain a device lab matrix tracking OS versions, screen sizes, and low-storage scenarios.

Requirements - Hands-on mobile QA experience with sharp attention to detail. - Ability to write clear bug reports that engineers can act on without a follow-up meeting. - Familiarity with TestFlight, Play internal testing, or similar beta distribution channels. - Genuine curiosity about encryption, permissions, and offline behavior on mobile devices.
