Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview A Senior Forward Deployed Engineer embeds onsite with strategic customers to turn raw security ratings data into decisions that executives act on. The role combines deep customer-facing discovery with hands-on engineering: mapping workflows, designing AI-native solutions, and shipping production-grade code. Travel to customer sites typically runs 20–40% depending on account load.

Responsibilities - Map customer security, risk, and compliance workflows end to end and identify where value leaks through manual effort or disconnected tools. - Run discovery with practitioners and executives, scoping people, process, and data dependencies into a technical solution. - Build AI-native solutions by default, applying LLMs, ML models, and modern AI tooling to automate analysis. - Perform data analysis and data science, including translating letter-grade ratings into financial terms such as Annualized Loss Expectancy, Value at Risk, and ROI. - Design and deploy integrations, pipelines, and connectors into customer systems like SIEM, GRC, ticketing, and data warehouses across AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Prototype rapidly in the field, then harden solutions into production-quality software and own technical relationships through renewal and expansion.

Requirements - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in customer-facing, forward deployed, or solutions engineering roles. - Hands-on experience building with AI, including LLMs, agentic frameworks, or ML models as core building blocks in shipped products. - Working data analysis and data science skills, such as risk quantification, benchmarking, or exposure modeling. - Proven ability to ship production code independently in fast-moving, ambiguous, customer-facing environments. - Strong full-stack fluency across backend services, APIs, scripting, data pipelines, and integration patterns such as REST, webhooks, SSO/SAML, and SIEM connectors. - Solid architecture design experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
