Job details
About this role
Role overview Build quality engineering capabilities for a live mobile game, combining hands-on testing with automation, infrastructure, and actionable quality insights. You’ll help teams find high-impact risks early, investigate failures across clients and services, and establish reusable practices that support confident releases.
Responsibilities - Develop and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and test infrastructure that other engineers can use and extend. - Participate in design and code reviews to improve testability, diagnostics, and service interfaces. - Perform exploratory, manual, and release testing where direct investigation is most useful, then use findings to guide automation priorities. - Automate Android, iOS, and Unity workflows, and test APIs, integrations, data integrity, session recovery, and client-server synchronization. - Investigate issues using logs, metrics, traces, crash reports, and telemetry; turn findings into regression coverage. - Test mobile and backend performance, improve CI/CD feedback, and develop practical AI-assisted approaches to testing and failure analysis.
Requirements - Experience in quality engineering, software development in test, or software engineering, including ownership of automation used by others. - Strong C# or Python skills and experience with source control, code reviews, debugging, and maintainable software design. - Practical experience testing and automating Android and iOS apps across devices, operating systems, and variable network conditions. - Experience with API and integration testing, diagnosing cross-service failures, and integrating tests into CI/CD. - Working knowledge of performance, exploratory, and risk-based testing, plus SQL and telemetry analysis at scale. - Experience using AI engineering tools and assessing the accuracy and usefulness of their output.
Nice to have Experience with Unity and mobile games, and an interest in improving quality through collaborative problem-solving and reusable engineering practices.
