Life and Annuities Product Strategist

Role overview Shape the strategy and roadmap for core life and annuity insurance platform services, including quoting, underwriting, policy administration, cash management, and investment management. The role turns insurance expertise and customer needs into configurable product capabilities, combining long-term planning with hands-on requirements work and close collaboration across product, technology, design, and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities - Set product vision and maintain a prioritized roadmap informed by business goals, market opportunities, and customer needs. - Define detailed product requirements and acceptance criteria for platform capabilities. - Use market intelligence, customer feedback, product usage, and competitor research to identify priorities and opportunities. - Work with engineering, architecture, design, sales, customer success, and clients to align plans and drive decisions. - Support product positioning and sales enablement with clear value propositions, product expertise, and collateral.

Requirements - 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in insurance and 5 years with insurance technology platforms or transformation initiatives. - At least 4 years of direct experience with life and annuity processes and systems; annuities experience is preferred. - Track record defining strategy and launching complex software products or platforms. - Strong knowledge of insurance systems such as policy administration, billing, claims, cash or treasury management, or investment accounting. - Ability to assess markets, build business cases, prioritize with data, and influence distributed cross-functional teams. - Strong communication and facilitation skills, ownership, and comfort balancing strategic work with day-to-day execution.
