Job details
About this role
Role overview Develop core scanner platform components where performance, correctness, and secure delivery are essential. The work centers on Rust and Go systems for distributed workloads, telemetry processing, protected communications, cloud integrations, and trustworthy software updates.
Responsibilities - Build performant, reliable scanner runtime services in Rust and Go. - Design resilient ingestion and correlation pipelines for scanner telemetry. - Implement secure update workflows and verify package integrity end to end. - Protect service-to-service communication using mTLS and gRPC. - Design retry, backoff, and throttling behavior for integrations with AWS and Azure.
Requirements - At least three years of backend or systems engineering experience, with strong production Rust and Go skills. - Rust experience with asynchronous systems, performance tuning, and concurrency tradeoffs. - Production experience building backend systems in Go. - Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven design, including CQRS, event sourcing, and delivery guarantees. - Deep networking knowledge, including mTLS, gRPC, NAT traversal, and HTTP/2. - Proven experience implementing secure update frameworks such as TUF or Omaha. - Experience handling cloud rate limits and throttling in production.
Nice to have - Experience with no_std Rust or constrained runtime environments. - Background building scanner, endpoint, or security platform products. - Experience designing reliable event pipelines with clear delivery guarantees.
