Software Engineering Manager, AI Growth

Role overview An engineering management role leading the AI Growth team at a content operations platform, focused on the next wave of AI-powered developer tooling. The team builds native integrations into the fastest-growing AI development tools, expands a remote MCP server including UI-bearing MCP apps, and creates agentic builders that let anyone configure the platform through natural language. Responsibilities - Lead and grow a team of engineers building AI-native developer integrations, agentic builders, and MCP server extensions - Set the technical direction for integrations that allow AI coding tools to discover, configure, and operate the platform end-to-end - Improve the remote MCP server, including UI-equipped MCP apps, agent rules, and skills surfaced through plug-ins and CLI auto-configuration - Own the experimentation roadmap for the team's growth surface area, treating adoption metrics as a first-class engineering output - Partner with product, developer relations, and platform engineering to translate developer behavior into shippable improvements - Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers across multiple experience levels, sustaining high standards for craft and ownership

Requirements - Hands-on engineering background shipping production systems, ideally including developer tooling, SDKs, or platform APIs - Experience integrating with AI developer ecosystems such as MCP servers, coding assistants, or agent frameworks - Track record leading engineering teams with a balance of people management and technical depth - Comfort working in an experiment-driven environment where growth metrics and product judgment both shape priorities - Strong written and verbal communication for working across product, engineering, and external developer audiences - Remote work authorization in the United States, with hybrid expectations
