Director, GTM AI Engineering

Role overview

Lead and build AI engineering capabilities that help go to market teams work more efficiently and make better decisions. This hands on director role combines prototyping and production development with team leadership and technical strategy; the work spans AI agents, workflow tools, shared platform foundations, and quality measurement.

Responsibilities

- Prototype, ship, and improve agents, copilots, and workflow automations for Sales, Customer Success, Support, and other go to market teams. - Own architecture for shared AI capabilities, including orchestration, model and tool access, identity controls, and integrations across business applications. - Establish evaluation practices using reference datasets, automated judging, human review, regression checks, and production analysis to identify failures and track quality. - Set technical and product direction, including data foundations, instrumentation, governance, observability, and decisions about which prototypes to scale or retire. - Assess new models, agent frameworks, tool ecosystems, and vendors; make practical adoption and build versus buy recommendations. - Build team capability and field adoption through shared development tools, demonstrations, feedback gathering, stakeholder partnership, and cost controls.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience shipping AI products into production and building agent based workflows. - Strong hands on engineering ability, including prototyping, coding, and designing evaluations. - Ability to set architecture and strategy for shared AI platforms and integrations. - Experience influencing stakeholders and helping frontline teams adopt new tools. - Sound judgment in evaluating emerging technologies, vendors, quality, and operating costs.
