Role overview This is a hands-on, billable Solution Architect role focused on Sales Performance Management (SPM) implementations. The architect partners with customer stakeholders to translate sales performance strategy into a well-architected, scalable solution spanning compensation, territory, planning, mapping, and enablement. The position sits within a Professional Services organization and reports into a Specialized Services group, collaborating closely with senior architects, technical consultants, engagement managers, and product teams to deliver complex engagements on time and within scope.
Responsibilities - Lead discovery and solution design workshops, then architect and document the end-to-end functional solution across the SPM portfolio, identifying gaps between current and desired states. - Own functional design and configuration leadership across commission plans, statements, capacity, quota, and territory planning, territory models, mapping, and enablement. - Define the solution blueprint, design standards, and governance, partnering with Technical Architects to align the functional design with integrations, data, and custom development. - Apply AI-powered SPM capabilities to accelerate delivery and help customers extract more value from their investment. - Serve as a solution escalation point, mentor consultants, and champion reusable assets, best practices, and shared standards across the team. - Contribute to proposals, staffing plans, and statements of work, and support pre-sales activities such as discovery, demos, deep dives, and proof-of-concept development. - Liaise with product teams to support customer implementations and maintain a target billable utilization aligned to the role.
Requirements - 8+ years of professional experience implementing, designing, or consulting on Sales Performance Management, Incentive Compensation Management, sales planning, or related sales technology solutions, including demonstrable solution architecture or lead functional design experience. - Deep functional expertise across the SPM domain, including compensation, planning, territory, and enablement. - Strong ability to translate sales performance strategy into well-architected, scalable solutions. - Experience leading discovery, design workshops, and end-to-end functional delivery on complex engagements. - Demonstrated ability to mentor team members, govern solution quality, and serve as an escalation point. - Track record contributing to proposals, statements of work, and pre-sales cycles such as demos and proofs of concept.
Nice to have - Familiarity with applying AI-assisted capabilities to incentive plan design and performance insights. - Experience working within a Professional Services or Specialized Services delivery model.
