About this role
Role overview
This role helps leadership teams identify practical opportunities for AI, decide where investment is justified, and turn executive interest into work that can be implemented. The focus is on clear judgment, structured client workshops, and translating business problems into requirements that builders can use. Success is measured by useful systems being adopted in day-to-day work, not by the polish of a recommendation or presentation.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate focused workshops with client leadership teams to uncover valuable, realistic AI use cases. - Examine workflows closely enough to distinguish whether the real constraint is data, process, incentives, alignment, or risk concerns. - Help organizations choose an appropriately sized starting point while keeping sight of the larger operating model they may need. - Convert strategic conclusions into concrete requirements, priorities, and next steps for implementation teams. - Guide technology decisions where budgets, organizational politics, and operational complexity all matter. - Evaluate progress through what teams actually use and adopt after the initial engagement.
Requirements
- Experience helping organizations make consequential technology decisions involving real budgets and competing stakeholder interests. - Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to lead an untidy executive discussion toward useful decisions. - Practical understanding of how AI opportunities depend on workflow details, data quality, leadership alignment, incentives, and organizational confidence. - Ability to move between high-level strategy and the operational detail needed to shape implementable work. - Clear judgment about when to start small without losing the path toward a more complete solution. - Communication that is specific enough for builders to act on rather than remaining at the level of transformation messaging.
Benefits and work setup
The hiring process emphasizes evidence over interview performance. Engagements commonly begin with paid contractor work on a real client or internal project, with the possibility of expanding the relationship when the fit is strong.
