Senior Strategist

Role overview

Lead strategy and discovery for complex client engagements, turning uncertain business challenges into clear recommendations and actionable plans. As the lead analyst on cross-functional teams, you’ll connect client goals to digital and AI solutions, guide senior stakeholders through decisions, and help teams move from exploration toward delivery.

Responsibilities

- Own engagements from opportunity discovery and problem framing through prioritization, roadmaps, and pilot plans. - Map customer journeys, operational workflows, and decision points to identify where digital solutions or automation could produce measurable value. - Build business cases, define success measures, and align executive and operational stakeholders on expected outcomes. - Create lightweight prototypes or demonstrations to make recommendations tangible and testable. - Work with subject matter experts to organize institutional knowledge into useful materials for AI systems, such as prompts, evaluation examples, and retrieval content. - Develop practical AI governance approaches covering privacy, human review, escalation, and responsible use. - Facilitate workshops and executive briefings, communicate trade-offs clearly, and maintain trusted client relationships. - Coordinate with design, data, engineering, and delivery teams so recommendations translate into implementation.

Requirements

- Experience independently leading strategy or business analysis engagements from discovery through recommendations and planning. - Strong skills in problem framing, workflow analysis, prioritization, and building evidence-based business cases. - Ability to facilitate high-stakes client sessions and communicate complex findings to executive and non-technical audiences. - Experience collaborating across business, design, engineering, and delivery disciplines. - Practical understanding of AI solution discovery, prototyping, governance, and user feedback cycles. - Comfort working through competing priorities and constraints while maintaining delivery focus.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with AI-assisted work tools and agent-based approaches, as well as prototyping or design tools.

Benefits and work setup

The source lists salary ranges of $130,000–$155,000 USD and $140,000–$170,000 CAD, with placement depending on factors such as experience, skills, and location. Eligible employees may receive paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a retirement plan.
