Principal AI Engineering Architect

Role overview A Principal AI Engineering Architect is sought to lead the design and delivery of complex multi-domain systems spanning cloud, data, and AI. The role centers on production-grade multi-agent agentic AI solutions, serving as the senior technical voice on engagements while remaining hands-on across architecture, model development, and end-to-end delivery.

Responsibilities - Define technical strategy and lead architectural design across cloud, data, and AI/ML systems from research through production scale - Architect and ship production-grade multi-agent agentic AI systems including orchestration, tool use, memory, and inter-agent communication - Design solutions using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and complementary AWS GenAI services with a strong AWS-native bias - Build scalable data architectures including warehouses, lakes, and pipelines for batch and streaming workloads - Define infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and DevOps standards across engagements - Lead design reviews, mentor experienced engineers, and drive stakeholder communication around complex AI tradeoffs

Requirements - 10+ years in software engineering roles with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML systems in production - Deep hands-on expertise designing and shipping production multi-agent agentic AI systems - Extensive AWS experience including Bedrock AgentCore, with multi-cloud familiarity as a plus - Strong background in microservices, serverless, containers, and event-driven systems such as Kubernetes and Lambda - Proficiency with infrastructure as code and CI/CD including Terraform, CloudFormation, or GitHub Actions - Mastery of AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalents, plus RAG pipeline expertise

Nice to have - Multi-cloud architecture experience - AI ethics or responsible AI experience - Enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF or AWS/Azure/GCP credentials

Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $180,375 to $230,625 USD
