Customer Success Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a customer-facing technical enablement role focused on a computer vision machine learning platform used by a large developer community. The mission is to help self-serve and corporate customers move from early experimentation to confident production use through scalable education and structured one-on-one guidance, rather than solving the same problem repeatedly.
Responsibilities - Teach customers how to work with datasets, annotations, model training, evaluation, and the broader platform, both live and through written or recorded content. - Run scalable enablement programs such as webinars, onboarding sessions, technical workshops, clinics, office hours, and learning journeys. - Deliver structured, time-bound one-on-one enablement engagements for qualifying corporate customers who need deeper guidance. - Identify recurring points of friction across customers and turn those insights into reusable guides, videos, workflows, or programs that reduce future support load. - Provide clear, prescriptive guidance while preserving the boundaries of a scalable self-serve customer experience. - Collaborate with product, support, and engineering teams to feed customer insights back into platform improvements.
Requirements - Background in a customer-facing technical role such as customer success, technical enablement, developer relations, support, or solutions engineering. - Comfort teaching technical concepts live, creating clear educational material, and guiding customers through unfamiliar workflows. - Strong pattern recognition: ability to spot repeated questions and convert them into scalable resources instead of one-off answers. - Empathy and clear written communication suited to remote, asynchronous relationships. - Hands-on curiosity about new technology and a bias toward showing work over talking about it. - High autonomy, accountability, and a builder mindset in a distributed team environment.
Nice to have - Prior hands-on experience building with a computer vision or ML platform, including contributing to open source projects.
Benefits and work setup - Annual travel stipend for visiting teammates in person. - Monthly productivity stipend for home office or co-working expenses. - Health insurance coverage for the employee and dependents, with the company covering the majority of the premium. - Equity in the company. - Distributed team with hubs in New York and San Francisco, and an in-person onboarding week with the hiring manager. - Structured onboarding milestones at one week, one month, and six months to ramp into independent ownership of enablement programs.
