Support Engineer, SAP Basis (Evergreen)

Role overview Deliver remote, expert-level support for SAP Basis administration within a global enterprise software support organization. The position troubleshoots complex issues across multiple SAP modules, develops break fixes, and advises clients on technical best practices in highly configured environments. This remote role is based in Brazil and requires fluency in English with an additional language strongly preferred.

Responsibilities - Research and resolve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting across SAP modules. - Provide hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in test environments or via remote client connectivity. - Develop application break fixes for critical product defects and create scripts to correct data issues. - Serve as a technical and functional advisor for one or more key assigned accounts. - Contribute to knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and process improvements. - Participate in a 24x7x365 support organization, including flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements - Five or more years of all-round SAP experience with a focus on SAP Basis administration. - System administration knowledge on at least two platforms: Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, or Windows. - Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2, Sybase, or SAP HANA. - Expertise in SAP HANA architecture, installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and system migration. - Experience with SLT installation, database sizing, and database performance optimization. - Fluency in English, with fluency in a second language preferred.

Nice to have - SAP certification(s). - S/4HANA full life-cycle implementation experience. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience with global implementations or country-specific solutions. - Consulting background.
