Role overview A long-term, fully remote position for a QA Automation Engineer embedded in a fast-moving fintech environment. The role partners with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to expand automation coverage and safeguard the reliability, security, and performance of modern financial software systems.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks spanning web applications, APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations. - Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated test suites covering complex workflows, edge cases, data integrity, and state transitions. - Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. - Run performance, scalability, and load tests across core services to surface bottlenecks and reliability risks. - Log, track, and triage bugs and performance issues in close collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and product counterparts. - Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing standards across the team.
Requirements - 4+ years of QA Automation experience, including hands-on work designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks. - Strong proficiency in TypeScript for automation scripts and test frameworks, with practical experience using Playwright. - Solid grasp of testing best practices, test strategy, the software development lifecycle, and modern QA methodologies. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments such as Docker. - Background in fintech, financial services, payments, or banking, where accuracy, reliability, security, and data integrity are critical. - Strong verbal English communication, careful attention to detail, and availability to collaborate with distributed teams during Eastern Standard Time hours.
