Software Engineer, Network Infrastructure

Role overview

Own and evolve networking infrastructure that supports cloud services across multiple data centers and cloud providers. The work spans edge and ingress traffic, load balancing, Kubernetes and Linux networking, and customer-facing connectivity features. Engineers investigate issues across the network stack and improve performance, reliability, and security as the platform scales.

Responsibilities - Design, operate, and evolve core networking systems across data centers and cloud providers. - Build customer-facing capabilities for service connectivity, communication, and traffic routing. - Diagnose complex networking problems across kernel and data-plane components, distributed systems, and edge networking. - Profile and tune systems to improve performance, reliability, and capacity. - Coordinate with engineers across teams to deliver a stable, predictable, and secure platform. - Join the on-call rotation and improve incident detection, response, and learning.

Requirements - At least six years building and operating large-scale networking or infrastructure systems. - Production experience with Kubernetes networking internals, such as service routing, kube-proxy, or CNI plugins, or comparable container networking technology. - Production knowledge of Linux networking, such as routing, netfilter, iptables or nftables, and conntrack. - Experience operating traffic routing systems such as load balancers, ingress, or proxies at scale. - Strong distributed systems design, debugging, and operations skills. - Experience planning and executing high-risk changes with minimal downtime.

Nice to have - eBPF or advanced Linux kernel networking experience. - Go or a similar language used with low-level operating system and networking interfaces.
