About this role
Role overview
A senior product management role owning the benefits infrastructure inside a global employment platform. The position is integration-heavy in the near term, focused on migrating cost data and standing up new administration flows, and unification-oriented over time, consolidating fragmented tooling into a single source of truth across more than 90 countries. It reports into product leadership with broad cross-functional exposure.
Responsibilities
- Drive the roadmap for how the platform connects to carriers, third-party administrators, and customers' own HR systems, choosing where to deepen, consolidate, or offboard - Lead migrations of benefit costs onto a unified payroll engine across multiple carrier and broker paths - Stand up retirement plan administration and provider-agnostic cost ingestion that lets customers bring their own broker or carrier - Ensure benefits data flowing from client HR systems lands correctly in payroll and resolve data-integrity incidents that affect real paychecks - Own test planning, end-to-end validation, and go-live readiness for major integration initiatives - Design for both human and non-human consumers, including APIs and agent-facing tooling
Requirements
- Proven track record as a product manager owning complex third-party integrations spanning API and file or EDI formats - Hands-on proficiency with Cursor or Claude Code, with the ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional prototypes - Comfort designing for systems and APIs, not only user interfaces, and justifying features by correctness or compliance impact - Sound judgment under deadline pressure, from strategic consolidation calls to tactical integration scoping - Excellent asynchronous written communication for driving alignment across functions without relying on meetings
Nice to have
- Background in benefits, HR technology, payroll, insurance technology, or fintech, and experience negotiating commercial partnerships
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote, work-from-anywhere policy with asynchronous hours - Generous paid time off plus 16 weeks of paid parental leave - Mental health support services and a learning budget - Stock options, a home office budget, and IT equipment provided - Annual budget for local in-person social events or co-working spaces
