Role overview A data analyst role embedded in Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) initiatives that modernize military aircraft sustainment through advanced data cleansing, interactive visualization, and applied AI/ML. The position contributes directly to readiness outcomes for national defense aviation programs.
Responsibilities - Execute program initiatives from inception through deployment, aligned to business and military mission objectives. - Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and web applications using Qlik Sense and Streamlit. - Apply modern UI/UX principles to turn complex military aircraft datasets into clear, actionable interfaces. - Provide domain expertise on military aircraft maintenance to guide and validate AI/ML model development. - Conduct data discovery and exploratory data analysis on maintenance records and flight logs to surface failure patterns and bottlenecks. - Participate in stakeholder engagement, advising military leaders and engineering teams on maintenance trends and data insights.
Requirements - Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required. - 4+ years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience combined with data analysis work, or equivalent formal education plus hands-on military aviation experience. - Hands-on dashboard and BI development experience with Tableau, Qlik Sense, Streamlit, or similar tools. - Practical understanding of UI/UX design principles for clean, functional layouts. - Deep knowledge of military aircraft maintenance procedures, logistics systems, and DoD maintenance platforms such as REMIS, G081/IMDS, or Advana/CBM+ ecosystems. - Experience with data visualization tools (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and foundational statistical methods including probability, distributions, and precision/recall/F1.
Nice to have - Bachelor's degree or higher with a STEM or analytics emphasis. - Proficiency with Python and SQL. - Hands-on experience with cloud-based big data platforms such as Databricks. - Advanced understanding of AI/ML and sensor-based predictive maintenance in military aviation. - Experience working in Agile frameworks with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart.
Benefits and work setup - Anticipated base salary range of $100,000 to $150,000, with eligibility for performance-based or other incentive compensation where applicable. - Comprehensive benefits programs and eligibility for additional incentive plans.
