Role overview

This contractor position places a Product Analyst at the intersection of product, data, and behavioral science within a neuroscience-based health technology organization focused on habit formation and behavior change. The role supports both commercial product development and academic research initiatives aimed at helping users test and adopt evidence-based healthy habits. The analyst will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to translate data into actionable insights that shape interventions and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Partner with product teams to inform feature development and behavioral interventions through rigorous data analysis - Design experiments, formulate hypotheses, and run exploratory plus statistical analyses on user behavior and performance trends - Build, maintain, and validate event tracking and dashboards in Mixpanel, troubleshooting instrumentation issues - Write SQL queries against internal databases and a Snowflake warehouse, plus Python scripts for data processing and automation - Contribute to schema design, data ingestion pipelines, and BI visualizations for stakeholders - Support qualitative user research, literature reviews, statistical analysis plans, and methods/results sections for research manuscripts - Help lead or support grant-funded projects, ad hoc analyses, and dataset preparation for commercial and client studies

Requirements

- Two or more years in Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, Data Analytics, or a comparable digital product role - Hands-on experience with Mixpanel, including dashboarding, event taxonomy, and tracking validation - Proficiency writing SQL for structured and unstructured data - Working experience with Python for analysis, automation, or processing - Familiarity with Snowflake, covering pipelines, data sources, and visualizations - Solid statistical foundation in experiment design, hypothesis testing, and regression - Ability to read application code in order to debug analytics instrumentation - Strong communication skills for translating complex analyses into clear business insights

Nice to have

- Experience with Google Analytics, A/B testing tools, or established experimentation frameworks - Bachelor's degree in a technical, quantitative, or behavioral science field
