Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of engineers responsible for notifications services - Set the technical direction and roadmap for messaging and delivery systems - Collaborate with product, design, and adjacent engineering teams on platform capabilities - Maintain service reliability, latency, and throughput targets for high-traffic workloads - Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the team - Drive incident response, postmortems, and ongoing operational improvements
Requirements
- Prior experience managing engineers who own production systems at scale - Familiarity with messaging, push, email, or similar notification infrastructure - Demonstrated ability to ship reliable, high-traffic services - Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences - Comfort balancing hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities
