Member of Technical Staff, Forward Deployed Engineer (New Stealth Startup)

Role overview Work directly with enterprise customers to turn operational challenges into production-ready AI solutions. You’ll lead deployments from understanding customer workflows and shaping the technical approach through building, evaluating, and improving AI agents in customer environments. The work combines software engineering, solution design, and close customer collaboration, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities - Learn customers’ workflows and translate their needs into clearly scoped AI solutions and implementation plans. - Design, build, deploy, and refine AI agents against measurable customer outcomes. - Create the data pipelines, integrations, and supporting systems needed to run solutions in customer environments. - Develop evaluation methods, use results to improve system performance, and address operational issues through resolution. - Work with product, platform, research, and engineering teams; share deployment lessons and develop reusable technical patterns. - Communicate decisions, progress, risks, and results to customer stakeholders and internal teams.

Requirements - Strong software engineering skills and experience delivering practical solutions to complex problems. - Ability to work directly with customers and move between business needs and technical implementation. - Comfort learning unfamiliar domains and bringing structure to ambiguous requirements. - Ownership of work across development, deployment, and ongoing improvement. - Clear communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including senior customer leaders. - Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, research, and operations while balancing customer needs with reusable systems.
