Fintech Engineer

Role overview Build backend services for financial products, covering account, payment and transaction workflows. The work includes connecting external providers and translating product needs into dependable software, with careful attention to accurate records and graceful failure handling.

Responsibilities - Design APIs and services for accounts, payments and other financial operations. - Integrate banking, payment and verification providers, including their webhooks and authentication flows. - Represent transaction states and financial records accurately, accounting for balances, currencies and reconciliation. - Make retries and repeated requests safe through idempotency and reliable transaction handling. - Add access controls, audit trails, automated tests and operational monitoring. - Collaborate with product, design and QA to deliver features and investigate issues across connected systems.

Requirements - Experience building backend systems for fintech, payments, banking or other transaction-heavy products. - Strong skills in a backend language such as TypeScript, Java, Go or Python. - Practical experience with relational databases, API design and third-party integrations. - Understanding of database transactions, asynchronous processing, idempotency and reconciliation. - Experience with automated testing, Git and CI/CD. - Clear communication about technical decisions and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
