About this role
Role overview
As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will lead complex customer engagements from technical direction through production delivery. The role combines deep engineering expertise with independent, customer-facing work: designing robust AI and machine learning systems, guiding implementation choices, and connecting technical solutions to business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver production-grade AI/ML, GenAI, RAG, and agentic solutions in enterprise environments. - Own end-to-end technical delivery, from requirements and solution design through deployment, operation, and improvement. - Establish MLOps and LLMOps practices covering prompts, retrievers, models, registries, drift detection, A/B testing, and observability. - Build evaluation frameworks with domain experts, including automated evaluation suites and production monitoring. - Design responsible and regulation-aware systems with appropriate data residency, identity integration, prompt-injection defenses, and output guardrails. - Work independently with customers as a technical authority while identifying and articulating relevant business opportunities.
Requirements
- Deep professional expertise delivering AI/ML systems in production. - Strong experience designing RAG-based knowledge assistants and enterprise agentic systems. - Advanced understanding of LLM and model lifecycle management, evaluation, monitoring, and reliability. - Deep cloud expertise in at least one of Azure, AWS, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration. - Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders in customer-facing settings. - Fluent written and spoken Finnish, in addition to English.
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise ML platforms such as feature stores, model registries, Azure ML, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or MLflow. - Knowledge of real-time machine learning and stream processing. - Experience in regulated sectors such as energy, media, or finance. - Ability to contribute to solution development from a commercial perspective.
Benefits and work setup
- Permanent remote work within Finland; relocation support is not provided. - Salary range of €5,400–€6,600 per month. - Flexible working, broad healthcare coverage, equipment choice, training, wellbeing support, and a customizable benefits budget. - Additional benefits may include performance-based bonus, employee share participation, travel insurance, childcare support, and lunch, transport, sports, culture, or home-office allowances.
